PAMERAN FOTOGRAFI “DYSTOPIAN DIFFRACTION: ABSENCE/PRESENCE” ISI GALERI RUANG DINI

Di Galeri Ruang Dini, gelaran Bandung Photography Triennale mengangkat sub tema “Dystopian Diffraction: Absence/Presence” untuk tiga karya perupa.
Ada Sjuaibun Iljas dari Indonesia, Alberto Marin dari Cile, dan Nguyen The Son dari Vietnam, yang memajang karyanya, di Galeri Ruang Dini, Jalan Anggrek No. 46 Bandung, 9 sampai 30 September 2022.
Alberto Marin menghadirkan lanskap arsitektural. Ruang yang muncul merupakan ruang publik pada perkotaan. Bangunan dan ruang yang ada menunjukkan berbagai karakteristik tempat, dari bangunan tiket, bangunan publik, dan tanah kosong.
Ruang urban kota yang seharusnya hiruk pikuk dengan segala aktivitasnya justru “absence” oleh aktivitas manusia.
Dengan ketidakhadiran aktivitas manusia ruang publik ini justru pada ujungnya akan menjadi ruang privat. Karya Marin juga menyoal tatanan ruang arsitektural dengan intensi yang semuanya merujuk soal daya guna ruang tersebut dari jejak manusia.
Karya Marin membangun relasi antara yang privat dengan yang publik dan yang personal dengan yang kelompok.

A la pregunta sobre el artista y su imaginación “productiva” en el seno del auge neoliberal en el país, visible en hitos como las navidades consumistas y los veraneos en La Serena, se suma la indefinición propia de los primeros años de vida juvenil y adulta. Un contexto en el que las cuestiones del “por ahora” se vuelven indefinidas, tal como lo experimenta el protagonista frente a su ejercicio docente como medio de subsistencia y posibilidad para su trabajo como artista. Este momento de fragilidad y experimentación a contrapelo de la eficiencia social, de percepción liberadora, entraña a su vez el misterio que origina las profundas grietas de la persona futura.

El modificar un espacio a partir de una necesidad es una situación a la que se somete todo aquel que habita un espacio inapropiado para sus necesidades y circunstancias de vida, siendo la ampliación una actividad vital para el poder vivir. Dicha ampliación es una construcción realizada dentro de lo posible y no responde a ninguna lógica más que a la de palear una necesidad espacial no cubierta, muchas veces escapando a la lógica constructiva de diseño o de seguridad.
Modifying a space based on a need is a situation that anyone who inhabits a space inappropriate for their needs and life circumstances is subjected to, being the expansion a vital activity to survive. This expansion is a construction realised from what you have, there is no logic more than solving a special need uncovered, and many times structure escapes from constructive logic or design safety.

A escasas horas de las últimas elecciones presidenciales, la sostenida abstención de más de la mitad de la sociedad en los procesos políticos formales de la democracia del siglo XX es una realidad ineludible. La irregular participación en procesos electorales de organizaciones civiles que hasta hace algunos años eran actores fundamentales dentro de la luchas sociales también da cuenta de la magnitud de esta crisis, de la cual por supuesto las artes también tienen un comentario propio. En el ámbito de las artes visuales (creación, curatoría e investigación), la expresión de esta crisis y su alcance en la cultura política de la izquierda se mezcla con el redescubrimiento de las memorias de los “largos sesenta”, a través del rescate de sus artistas que arriesgan su desaparición vital y patrimonial. ¿Cómo pensar hoy una práctica artística que dialogue con estas multitudes que hace algunas décadas inspiraron y condujeron la construcción del sistema de partidos chileno, pero que hoy en su vaciamiento dictan su acta de defunción?
A few hours after the last presidential elections, the sustained abstention of more than half of society in the formal political processes of 20th century democracy is an inescapable reality. The irregular participation in electoral processes of civil organizations that until a few years ago were fundamental actors in social struggles also shows the magnitude of this crisis, which of course arts have their own comment. In the field of visual arts (creation, curatorship and research), the expression of this crisis and its scope in the political culture of the left is mixed with the rediscovery of the memories of the "long sixties", through the rescue of its artists who risk their vital and patrimonial disappearance.
How to think today about an artistic practice that dialogues with these crowds that a few decades ago inspired and led the construction of the Chilean party system, but that today in its emptying dictate their own death certificate?

El Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes y Museo sin Muros presentará desde el 26 de abril al 25 de mayo la exposición “Cero a la Izquierda” en la que se exhibirá fundamentalmente los trabajos de estudiantes egresados o en proceso de titulación de las diversas universidades del país con el fin de observar la producciones más recientes y creativas en el campo de las artes visuales.
Con el objetivo de explorar los nuevos itinerarios de la visualidad y brindar la oportunidad a las escuelas de arte para intercambiar información respecto a los procesos de experimentación, tendencias y formación académica, esta muestra permitirá que el público que asiste a los grandes centros comerciales establezca una relación cercana con las actuales manifestaciones artístico-culturales juveniles.

Alberto Marín es de Curicó, una ciudad donde -según sus propias palabras- el día es más largo. Vivir ahí tiene mucho que ver con lo que pinta. Nació en 1981 y se dedica hace casi 13 años a la pintura. En su obra vemos arquitectura cotidiana, historia de una ciudad y un espacio lleno de colores.
Su admiración por el formato lo llevó a pintar. Aprender la técnica y lograr ver plasmada una imagen que sólo se puede dar en una tela es para él lo más fascinante. Trabaja en formato amplio por la similitud de escala con la arquitectura que aparece en sus cuadros, aunque ahora también ha trabajado formatos más chicos porque ha pintado objetos de interior, es decir, la escala tiene relación con el objetivo de referencia. En cuanto a los colores ha ido sintetizando su paleta, pero también tiene que ver con lo que esté pintando.
Alberto Marín born in Curicó, a city where - according to his own words - the day is longer. Living there has a lot to do with what it paints. He was born in 1981 and has been painting for almost 13 years. We see everyday architecture on his work, the history of a city and a space full of colours.
Painting has being a result of his admiration on the format. Learning the technique and being able to see an image that can only be given on a canvas is the most fascinating thing for him. He works in a wide format due to the similarity of scale with the architecture that appears in his paintings, although now he has also worked in smaller formats, he has painted interior objects as well, the scale is related to the reference objective. As for the colours, he has been synthesizing his palette, also approaching it to what he is painting.

Nace en Curicó, Chile. Es licenciado en arte y su obra la desarrolla preferentemente desde la pintura abordando el tema del espacio escenográfico, cotidiano y la historia del arte.
Este es el resultado de un período de elaboración y trabajo en donde este artista, ganador de varias distinciones y un Fondart 2008 por la Creación obra Hotel Phantastike (Estética del insomnio), aborda la pintura desde una sensible visión del hombre y los elementos cotidianos que lo rodean.Conocí su obra hace algún tiempo y desde entonces me ha sorprendido su talento, profesionalismo.
Poseedor de una gran técnica, conocimiento del color, sus obras, repletas de figuras, se materializan en un escenario en donde la fantasía juega el papel principal. Su trabajo muestra una evolución progresiva que se ha ido gestando poco a poco, encontrándose hoy en la madurez e inicio de una promisoria carrera, que no tenemos duda, será reconocida internacionalmente.
Born in Curicó, Chile, owner of a degree in arts, his work is developed preferably from painting, addressing the theme of scenographic, everyday space and the history of art.
This is the result of a period of elaboration and work in which this artist, winner of several distinctions and a 2008 Fondart for his pieve “Hotel Phantastike (Aesthetics of insomnia)”, approaches painting from a sensitive vision of man and the everyday elements that surround him. I got to know his work some time ago, and since then, his talent and professionalism have surprised me.
Possessor of a great technique, knowledge of color, his works, full of figures, materialize on a stage where fantasy plays the main role. His work shows a progressive evolution that has been developing little by little, today he is at maturity and the beginning of a promising career, which we have no doubt will be recognized internationally.
